Ingredients for neypathal
Rice 1 1/2 cup(soaked for 5 hrs)
Coconut scrapped 1
cup
Cumi seeds 1 spoon
Small onions 5 to 6
nos
Grind the rice to powder and sift well. Crush coconut, cumin
and small onion, add it to the rice powder and mixwell, add required salt and
hot water to the mix and knead well. make small balls and press the ball using
chappathi presser or using a plastic cover and plate as shown in the video.
Deep fry both sides in oil in a pan, do this in medium to high flame.
* ingredients for Mango chutney
Mango 2 nos
Onion (chopped) 1/2
piece
Mustard seeds 3/4 spoon
Cumin 1/2 spoon
Fennel seeds 1 spoon
Fenugreek seeds 1/2
spoon
Chilli powder 1/2
spoon
Kashmiri chilli powder 1/4 spoon
Garam masala 1/4 spoon
Turmeric powder 1/4 spoon
Salt as required
Sugar 3 table
spoon
Oil 2 spoon
Asafoetida 1/4 spoon
Make some oil hot in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin, fennel
seeds, fenugreek, asafetida and saute well.add onion and saute till golden
brown and add mangoes, some water and little salt cover it to cook.Remove the
lid add chilli powder, kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala
saute well.Add sugar and little salt to balance the sugar.Give it a boil and
switch off the flame. Mango chutney is ready to serve.
